Day 1:
Leave Johannesburg in the morning and arrive at MOPANE BUSH LODGE in the early afternoon.
An afternoon bush drive or a bush walk on Mapesu Nature Reserve.
Evening dinner in the boma under the brilliant stars.
Day 2:
Early this morning, after coffee & rusks, take a tour of the Mapungubwe Hill & Heritage Site led by SAN Parks guides the most important Iron Age archaeological site in South Africa and uncover the mysteries of the Kingdom of Mapungubwe. Return for brunch at the lodge, and on the way visit a giant baobab tree that is about 25m in circumference.

Relax at the lodge around the pool, until tea.
After tea take a trip back to the Mapungubwe National Park to walk the boardwalk to a hide overlooking the Limpopo River. Then go on the viewpoint at the confluence of two great rivers of Africa the Limpopo & Shashe Rivers , and see Botswana, Zimbabwe & South Africa all in one awesome view.
Evening dinner in the boma at the lodge.
Day 3:
After breakfast, go and view some unique and spectacular San rock art of the Limpopo Valley , and have an interpretation of the art by a qualified guide.
Lunch at Mopane Bush Lodge in the lapa around the pool.
After a relax and afternoon tea, go tracking the endangered wild dog in the Venetia Limpopo Nature Reserve led by researchers.
Evening dinner in the boma around a fire under the stars.
Day 4:
An early morning walk or cycle to the hide.
A leisurely breakfast before departing back to Johannesburg , arriving back in the early afternoon or driving on to the Kruger National Park , only about 2.5 hours drive away.
