Tuli Safari Lodge
Tuli Safari Lodge provides an idyllic base from which to explore the Northern Tuli Game Reserve with its dramatic landscape, diverse flora & fauna and fascinating history. We offer a varied, authentic and affordable safari experience.
The lodge is situated in peaceful grounds under the shade of ancient Nyala berry trees, tucked between the banks of the Limpopo River and imposing sandstone formations. It the second longest-established in Botswana, and traces its origins back to 1964 when the Northern Tuli Game Reserve was created. As such it is unconventional in design and layout and has a charming home-from-home feel.
With an established team of friendly staff and just 8 individually designed suites, we offer our guests a personalised and relaxing stay. All our suites have double or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms with bath and/or shower, indoor & outdoor sitting areas, air-conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities.
We have two grades of suites: 4 and 5 ele. Our 5 ele suites are the more luxurious, spacious and private and are all slightly different in size, layout and position in the lodge. Please refer to our lodge layout map which shows the position and relative size of our rooms.
Activities at the lodge include game drives and bush walks with knowledgeable and experienced guides, hides situated at key sites in the reserve, community visits, opportunities to participate in conservation projects and ranger training courses.
Meals are served in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations - we try not to eat in the same place twice during your stay!
When you?re not out in the bush, eating or sleeping, there?s plenty to do within the lodge:
- enjoy a refreshing dip in the large swimming pool, which has a small shallow section for children, beautifully positioned by a secluded rocky outcrop
- spot the wildlife visiting the pretty waterhole at the back of the lodge from the safety and comfort of our hide
-
enjoy panoramic views of the reserve overlooking a baobab-studded plain from our -star deck- atop one of the sandstone kopjes
-
sit by the banks of the Limpopo to soak up the atmosphere and spot passing wildlife
- spend time chatting with our resident conservationist, Tanja, about our conservation and community projects or your particular areas of interest
- tour our conservation centre with interesting displays on the area's birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, geology, vegetation and astronomy
- visit our curio shop for a lovely selection of crafts, books, Tuli clothing or a copy of the great Tuli Choir CD to take home as a reminder!

Tuli Safari Lodge operates and manages two self-catering accommodations in the Tuli Block - Tuli Bush Camps Nokalodi and Molema - both rustic and serene, beautifully sited on the banks of the Limpopo.
Nokalodi is 2km upstream from Tuli Safari Lodge. Accommodation is provided in 4 comfortable Meru-style tents (three twin and one family) each with en-suite outdoor bathroom & patio. A massive sandstone cliff where Black Eagles nest and klipspringers abound provides a superb backdrop. A fully-equipped kitchen and boma area provide the ideal setting for relaxing, meeting friends and enjoying the beauty of the African sky. A game drive or walk is included in the rates. A wide range of additional activities is available through Tuli Safari Lodge.
Molema offers 4 wooden chalets (three twin and one family) each with en-suite bathroom, veranda & braai stand and 4 camping sites each with private shower/toilet/basin, braai area etc. Molema is a joint venture project with the local community and is located on 6000ha of community land immediately to the west of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve.
