Best of Botswana Safari
THE ROUTE: The Best of Botswana safari is by far our most popular safari and one of the most sought after Over-lander routes in Africa. A true wilderness safari that includes a number of highlights and offers excellent game viewing. The trip includes the third largest wildlife migration in Africa, two of Africas recognized natural wonders the Okavango Delta and the Victoria falls. It also includes two of Africas top 10 rated reserves, the Moremi game reserve and Chobe National Park.
Best of Botswana SafariGuided Self drive - A highly qualified guide along with a chef and camp hands will lead the safari in a vehicle with a full mobile kitchen and fully stocked bar. The guide is experienced in over -Lander travel, logistics, and group management and has very good ecological, cultural and historical knowledge. Each group can therefore enjoy the privacy and additional participation of driving their own vehicle but also benefit from the group camaraderie and security. Due to the large group size we will incorporate a second vehicle and guide who will lead half the group on game drives or will be used as a spotter vehicle in order to improve our chances of seeing good game.
Prior 4x4 driver experience is not essential but a valid driver license and minimum age of 21 will be required. General 4x4 driver skills and guidance will be offered on route.
One of the biggest advantages of the guided self drive is the flexibility it allows to each separate group, for example should a group prefer to sleep in rather than going on the morning game drive they are free to do so.
